Philosophy
A newborn session is a beautiful way to honor this fleeting moment and hold it close forever. Your images are more than photographs, they are hand-painted works of art, made with love, from one parent to another.
My Style
I adore capturing the magic of love and the wonder of life! My main goal is to provide incredible keepsakes of all that is genuine and pure during this moment in time. I fully believe your baby will grow and be inspired by their images over the years and have sweet reminders of the joy their presence creates.
Digital Art
I am known for my ability to create digital works of art that feature your baby in a magical scene. These specialty images are created by photographing a custom designed background and then photographing your baby separately. I then carefully hand-edit these unique pieces to perfection.
Safety
Your baby's safety is my top priority. My studio is completely sanitized after every session and washable props/clothing are washed in organic detergents designed for newborns. In addition to being a registered nurse, vaccinated and insured, I am fully trained in newborn safety, best practices, and only use the highest quality props. I personally provide an assistant for each newborn session that is also fully trained in safety to assist with certain poses.
Timing
While most newborns are photographed between 5-20 days after delivery. I have found that holding your baby's session between 14-20 days seems to be an optimal time. This allows for most feeding issues to be resolved, jaundice has had a chance to subside and allows for necessary healing for little boys who have been circumcised. Twins are scheduled as soon as possible after being released from the hospital.
scheduling
It is best to book your newborn session two months before your due date. This gives us ample time to discuss style, props, color schemes and wardrobe. If there is a special theme you would like, this also allows time for that set design and delivery. Your tentative date is set with a signed contract and retainer, and the actual date is set once your little one arrives. All newborn sessions are held mid-morning in my Gulf Breeze studio.
parent and sibling images
Of all the beautiful images we create together, the images with your new baby and other children may be the most important. They tend to be the ones that we always gravitate back to the most over the years. I understand that the thought of clothing for yourself can be exhausting after just having a baby, so I provide some beautiful gown options for my mommas to choose from.
